Day 2 :

Tarangire, Tanzania

Your destination today is prehistoric-looking Tarangire National Park, where you experience the African wilderness as the early explorers did – without crowds! Arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive into a landscape dotted with baobab trees and umbrella-thorn acacias. Day 3 :

Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania

The famed Ngorongoro crater supports a high number of large mammals estimated to be about 25,000, with Grazers such as zebra and wildebeest dominating –The two accounting for almost half the animals – other wild animals found on the crater floor include buffalo, eland, hartebeest, gazelle and warthog. Giraffe, for example, stay away because there is insufficient food at tree level; topi because they compete directly with wildebeest. An odd feature of the elephants found on the crater floor is that they are almost exclusively bulls. The reason for the absence of the breeding herds could be unavailability of sufficient quality food in the crater.

Day 4 :

Serengeti, Tanzania

Drive to the legendary Serengeti National Park, visiting en route the famed Olduvai Gorge, or more precisely Oldupai Gorge (the correct Maasai name).Here, some of the world’s most important archaeological finds have been made. You will find the drive to the gorge is breathtaking, with panoramic views of volcanic mountains in the distance, and wildflowers alongside the road. Some of mankind’s earliest ancestors are known to have lived in the Ngorongoro area, where the rich fossil sites of Olduvai Gorge and Laetoli have earned this part of the continent the title “Cradle of Mankind.” In 1959, Olduvai Gorge became the most famous prehistoric site in Africa with the “Zinjanthropus” discovery. Mary Leakey unearthed a 1.7 million-year-old fossil skull, which her husband, Louis, named Zinj, and proclaimed the “earliest man.” Real ancestral bones emerged from Olduvai only two years later, when fossils discovered by the Leakey’s' son, Jonathan, were named Homo habilis, or “The Handy Man.” He is thought to be the first toolmaker. Almost nowhere else in Africa can you expect to see more big game than in the Serengeti Plains. Lake Manyara To Arusha & Depart

After breakfast return to Arusha, arriving in time for lunch at African Tulip Hotel. After lunch a day room to freshen –up will be provided till late evening when you will be collected from the hotel by your guide and transferred to Kilimanjaro International airport where you will board your home bound flight.
