Day 1 :

ARUSHA/MESERANI

Your bike safari will commence at Arusha Airport, you will take a route that will take you west towards the magical Monduli mountain range. The open farmland leads you past the foothills of the mountains. The type of soil found in this area is known as 'Black cotton' and is very prone to erosion. You pass through several beautiful small valleys and homesteads of the Masai community as you traverse the foothills. You will be carrying a packed lunch to re-energize at a convenient point on the way. Meserani Snake Park, home to a number of reptiles will be your end point for day 1 of cycling.You load our bicycles in the escort car and you drive up to Makuyuni going forth to Mto Wa Mbu. Your night will be spent in the campsite or lodge.

Day 2 :

Mto Wa Mbu Village Cycling around Lake Manyara

After leaving your campsite /lodge , you will take a route cycling around Mto wa Mbu village and the famous Lake Manyara National Park, you cycle close to the southern shores of the Lake, here you will almost certainly encounter some game here – zebra, giraffe and wildebeest. The Rift Valley wall is in sight all day as we cycle through a number of Maasai homesteads. You will have possible sightings of wildlife as you cross over the open plains. You will have your packed lunch under an acacia tree during the heat of the day before cycling on and arriving into our campsite/lodge late afternoon.

Day 3 :

Mto wa Mbu to Karatu

Early in the morning you get back on to your bicycles and cycle up to Karatu town with an escort car behind you.

Day 4 :

Activities around Karatu Town

Once in Karatu you will have optional activities such as a short/long walking safari, a tour to a local market, a short walk to the coffee plantation and rice farms or even a visit to the local villages where you get to learn on the history of Iraq (Mbulu) inhabitants who owe their origins from Ethiopia.You can also extend cycling up to Ngorongoro Conservation Area main gate and back. This is perfectly suited for cycling enthusiasts. Dinner and overnight at lodge or campsite

Day 5 :

Safari to Serengeti

Your cycling safari comes to an end as you board your custom made 4x 4 Land Cruiser vehicle, you will take your way to Serengeti national park heading in a northwesterly direction. While there you will explore the breathtaking mix of thrilling wildlife encounters and magnificent scenery.The wildlife here is truly captivating. Head up the winding, switch-back road and into the Ngorongoro Highlands continue to the Serengeti national park. This will be a great time and experience in your life. Enjoy game drive as you head to your lodge or campsite

Day 6 :

Serengeti Park

Another great day in the bush as you are awaken to the calls of the African dove or superb starling. From the comfort of your safari tent you’ll smell the luscious scents of hot tea and fresh coffee beckoning you to greet the dawn; the majesty of Serengeti National Park awaits! Sit back, relax in your camp as you enjoy sipping hot drinks and watching the day break, if lucky, you may even spot giraffes or zebras grazing in the distance. After breakfast you will begin your quest to discover abundant and fascinating animal behavior in the park. Later this morning you will depart your camp with a packed lunch and continue your wildlife viewing for the rest of the day, stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch at your leisure. When you camp in the afternoon you will have a chance to relax in the tranquility of your room as you reflect on today’s activities; your exploration of the heart of the park has been both informative and adventurous and you’ll relish each moment in your unique surrounds. Count yourself lucky as you are one of the few travelers ever to have the privilege of seeing, “the world as it was in the beginning.” In your dining area, hot soup, fresh bread, entrees and a scrumptious dessert await your evening indulgence. Retire to your camp after a full and satisfying day. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 7 :

Serengeti park/Ngorongoro crater

You will have an early game drive in the park starting at 06:30am till 11:00am. When you’ll stop for Brunch (Breakfast and lunch put together) After Brunch you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater with game drive en-route. Dinner and overnight at lodge or campsite

Day 8 :

Ngorongoro crater/Arusha

You will have an early breakfast in your camp before descending into the floor of the crater. The area is world-renowned and remains one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Bull Elephant, African Buffalo and Black Rhino. Your extraordinary journey will take you through this incredible and amazing landscape that is constantly changing as wildlife move to and fro in search of pasture, water or easy prey. In the evening ascend to the rim and drive back to Arusha.

Day 9 :

Arusha/Depart

Sadly you have to leave Tanzania as you take a private transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your return flight or choose to extend your time in Africa with a beach stay in Zanzibar.
